Abstract:
The Pakistan Tobacco Board has embarked upon an intensive and extensive programme of research and development in the field of production and curing and also streamlining of marketing operations. Four research stations and one experimental farm have been set up in NWFP and Punjab to carry out research activities primarily aimed at improving per acre yield, safeguarding the crop from damage by pests and diseases and effecting improvement in leaf quality.
