Abstract:
Keeping in view the increasing importance of artificial fertilizers, during 1957 to 1961, as many as 6,500, trials were conducted in East & West Pakistan on various crops under field conditions, to establish the actual fertility and to determine the optimum fertilizer requirements of both soil and crops. It was found that nitrogenous and phosphatic fertilizers when applied in combination give a higher increase in yields, in both the wings.
