Abstract

The sennoside content of the leaves and pods of Cassia angustifolia, C. fistula and C. holosericea has been estimated spectrophotometrically following ferric chloride oxidation and hydrolysis in acidic medium. C. holoserica has been studied for the first time for its sennoside content.
