Scanning electron micrographic study of the scolex of Raillietina (Paroniella) Reynoldsae (Meggitt, 1926) (Cestoda: Davaineidae) from Passer domesticus in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.

Abstract:
Present species Raillietina (Paroniella) reynoldsae is reported from the small intestine of Passer domesticus in Karachi. Present species differs from the originally reported species in having less number of rostellar spines and in having only one row of comparatively larger spines on the suckers. Slight variations have been noted in the shape of the ovary and number of poral and aporal testes. Additionally Scanning Electron Photomicrographic study is presented for the first time and it is new to science.
