Abstract:
Culex tritaeniorhynchus males carrying a complex aberration, In (3), T (2:3)` M3 bw showed equal or greater competitiveness in 16 of 18.1aboratory cage experiments with laboratJ wild type males. Marking and handling pro-cedures did not consistently reduce competitiveness, nor did the effect of xerox-ing mosquitoes impair mating. The failure of both males and females to mate readily under insectary conditions precluded the use of the progeny of wild-caught females.
