Abstract:
Indole Acetic Acid caused a significant elongation and increase in number in roots of Allium cepa. Maximum elongation occurred at a dose of 400 ppm. 1AA treated bulbs showed higher VA mycorrhizal infections in roots when inoculated with Glomus endophytes. IAA induced roots together with VA mycorrhiza showed greater plant growth than obtained with VA endophytes alone. Endogonaceous spores occurred in greater numbers in IAA induced VA mycorrhizal roots than in controls inoculated with Glomus endophytes alone.
