Abstract:

Task-based language teaching has attracted the attention of second language learning, which was proposed and later developed by second language researchers and educators in reaction to already existing other teacherdominated, form-oriented methods. Since a better understanding of the theories of task-based language teaching is a prerequisite to a better understanding teachers' perceptions and how these perceptions affect their teaching, this paper attempts to deal with the issue of task-based language teaching in the classrooms and second language education.
