Taxonomic discription of spiny plants of District Hangu.

Abstract:
Twenty eight species belonging to twenty genera, distributed among thirteen families were collected, identified and described. Asteraceae having four genera and six species is the leading one. Amaranthaceae has three genera and three species. Mimosaceae has two genera and three species. Arecaceae has two genera with one species. Rhamnaceae has one genus and three species Agavaceae, Capparidaceae and Cactaceae have one genus, each with two species in each genus. Fagaceae, Zygophyllaceae, Apiaceae, Berberidaceae and Lamiaceae have one genus each with one species in each genus. Members of family Asteraceae are widely distributed in the area.
