Abstract:
A case study has. been carried out to estimate the viscous coefficient "Cf“ of Submersible with Hull, Sail and Hydroplanes. CFD analysis of this 3D model has been performed at different speeds using Fluent software. The value of viscous coefficient "Cf“ is then used to calculate the propulsion power requirement. The values of viscous coefficient "Cf“ is compared with the experimental data available for the submersible. A comparison of results has been made for validation of CFD model. Other parameters like pressure distribution and velocity profiles are also calculated from these analyses.
