Abstract:
The design, construction and operation of models of closed conduit fluid systems are discussed. Viscous and inertia forces in the flowing fluids of such models, and hence Reynolds Number, are predominent factors. General rules for model size, construction and operating Reynolds Number ranges are given. Prediction of prototype behaviour from model performance, is also discussed.
