Abstract:

Objective: To determine the relationship of serum ferritin level with telogen effluvium (TE) in female patients. Material and Methods: This case control study was conducted at Dermatology unit, Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar-Pakistan, from June 2017 to May 2018. A total of 100 female individuals who visited outpatient department (OPD) were included in the study. They were divided in two groups, 50 were patients and 50 were healthy individuals. After taking informed consent and fulfilling the inclusion criteria, individuals were enrolled in study and serum ferritin level was checked once at first visit.
