Abstract:

Deals with a few theorems by means of which the existence of manifold is established, the notion of hyperbolic sets for diffeomorphisms and vector fields becomes transparent from the example of the system of ordinary differential equations. The construction of stable and unstable manifold is also given. These results pave way for generalized stable manifold theorem which plays a key role in the study of differentiable dynamical systems.
