Abstract:
Engineering and economics ore among the most rapidly intermixing disciplines of the present time. The sensitivity of interrelation and inter-dependence which recently is being stressed between them, was never felt so much in the past, although they both have remained closely akin to one another since long. Engineering economics is becoming the central nucleus of engineering technology. The economic worth of multiple engineering projects is becoming the central focus of current attention. The vital need of the time Is that engineering and economics should march together and make themselves committed to national and global obligations and challenges of development.
