Abstract:
Specimens of blue-green algae were collected from fountain waters of different places at Lahore City during 2nd March to 31st October 1996 after the intervals of 7 days. They were taxonomically investigated and found to belong to ten species and three genera of the family Chroococcaceae (Chroococcales, Chroocophyceae, Cyanophyta). They were observed to begin their vegetative development late in the spring and became most abundant in the autumn.
