A study on the effects of NPK fertilizers on the quality of rice grains.

Abstract:
The effect of NPK fertilizers applied in the form of urea, T.S.R. and muriate of potash respectively on the quality of transplanted Arran rice (Naiger-shall) has been studied. (The supply of N fertilizer increased the protein and fat contents steadily, but the P and K fertilisers independently depressed the contents. The N and P fertilizers independently decreased the starch contents, while the effect of K was variable but depressing.
