Abstract:
The disease entered in the summer of 1959 from Afghanistan into Pakistan and reappeared in the following summers No serious outbreaks have been reported since 1962 owing to strict sanitary measures and planned vaccination programme. Short history of the disease, symptoms, organs affected, diagnosis, control and post-vaccination reaction have been discussed.
