Abstract:
The experiment was designed to evaluate the potential of soybean Glycine max (L.) Merrill in the fertility of soil with respect to N, P, K. The elements are necessarily required by the plants. The root nodules in soybean are the key instruments in performing the beneficial role of the plant. Moreover, it has been observed that under saline conditions of Karachi and neighborhood, the crop has been proved to the most tolerant species well as the nodulation in soybean also provides remarkable results in improving the fertility of saline soil. Hence soybean proved to be a successful plant species in terms of moderate saline conditions and responsible for maintenance of soil fertility under such conditions.
