Abstract:
The oxidation of aryl alcohols, amines and anilines at Copper anode in alkaline medium consisting of t-Butanol and water mixture have been investigated. The path-ways and mechanisms are found similar to those at Nickel oxide-covered anodes. The basic medium consisting of potassium hydroxide in t-Butanol H2O mixture affords a good possibility of oxidation of these compounds followed by the coverage of the surface with oxide corresponding to Cu(II)Cu(III) change.
