Abstract:
Lingula is a common animal of Karachi muddy shore. It is a characteristic of Indo-Pacific region. The record of four species of Lingula from Baba Island, Bhit Island, Break Water (Karachi) and Dongi Island (Korangi Creak) is made. The probable reasons and ecological changes responsible for the disappearance of Lingula bed from Break water is discussed.
