Abstract:
The dissociation constants of some pyrazolone dyes C.I. Acid Yellow 23 and C.I. Acid Red 183 were calculated at different temperatures (20, 30, 40, 50 °C and different ionic strength (0.04 - 0.12 M) NaCl. The pk values (pki and pk2) were compared in different media i.e. in presence of different percentages of ethanol 10, 30 and 50% (v/v), and also in presence of dioxane-water mixture at constant ionic strength. The data shows that the pk values increase as the ionic-strength decreases. The same effect was noticed at high temperature but in presence of solvents the dissociation constants increase. the pk valves were also determined spectrophotometrically in presence of different micelles.
