Abstract:
States that the purpose of scientific and industrial research is to develop indigenous resources both for the industrial development of the nation and for discovering indigenous substitutes for imported goods. Another aim is to create in Pakistan an atmosphere conducive to creative scientific work. The role that Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has played in promoting these aims and the policies and planning of this Council has been treated at length.
