Mortality percentage in broilers infected with hydropericardium syndrome in and around Hyderabad, Sindh.

Abstract:
The present research was conducted to calculate the mortality percentage in broilers caused by Hydro pericardium syndrome. For the purpose, 72 broiler flocks were surveyed during early six months from January 2012 to June 2012 to calculatate the mortality due to, Hydro pericardium syndrome. Out of 72 broiler flocks were examined only 30 flocks, were found positive for Hydro pericardium syndrome. Out of these 30 flocks only 3 flocks showed the infection with an average 5.4% of mortality during the month of January, the similar number 3 flocks with a mortality of 7.4% in the month of February, 5 flocks with a mortality of 10.8% in March, 6 flocks with a mortality of 13.0% in April, 8 flocks with a mortality of 15.1% in May, and 5 flocks with a mortality of 12.8% during the month of, June.
