Abstract:
Preinoculated seedlings of Brassica oleracea with VA endophytes (Glomus mosseae) caused a significant reduction in pathogenic infections caused by Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium moniliforme jointly at 20% soil moisture contents. This reduction in pathogenic infections in preinoculated seedlings was not significant at higher soil moisture contents (25%). Soil moisture contents conductive to VA mycorrhizal infections in B. oleracea proved optimum for VA mycorrhiza to act as different to pathogenic infections caused by R. solani and F. moniliforme jointly.
