Knowledge Management Processes In the Petroeum Industry in Pakistan.

Abstract:
An empirical study was conducted on different hierarchical positions in Petroleum industry with reference to Knowledge Management Processes. The study examined in detail the role of knowledge capitalization in the Petroleum industry. The organizations included: Exploration & Production (E & P), marketing and refineries from oil and gas industry. Sample comprising of 474 managers in different hierarchical positions was selected based on purposive sampling design. The data were collected on a questionnaire based on Knowledge Management Processes Scale adapted for Pakistan. Statistical analysis conducted by ANOVA revealed that no significant difference was found in different hierarchical levels with reference to Knowledge Capitalization Process in the Petroleum Industry.
