Abstract:

Determination of age with respect to consideration as juveniles. Earlier the age was within 18 years to claim as juveniles. Later on, through amendments it was lowered to 16 years. Judicial decisions which lowered 18 years to 16 years as juvenility, discussed in this research paper. The need of the study is to check how juvenility was misused by the people and how this was noticed by the judges while deciding cases who took protection under the Juvenile Justice Act in the guise of Juvenility.
