Abstract:
During the two years from Jul): 1959 to June 1961, the P.C.S.I.R. undertook research in successfully developing the following products for various private industries: (1) Insulating varnish, (2) Water-proofing composition for Tarpaulins, (3) starch adhesives, and (4) cement colours and dry colours for paints. Besides these, technical assistance-was provided for the following products: (1) Refining loss of cotton-seed oil, (2) Refining of cotton-seed oil, (3) Rayon manufacture, (4) Casein glue, (5) Adhesive for plastic goods, (6) preparation of Ester gum, (7) Paint thinner (8) Paper bags for cement Sodium silicate based adhesive, and Utilization of sodium silicate for the treatment of concrete.
