Abstract:

Abdalla and Hassan (2004) proposed a new parametric Lorenz curve and found Gini coefficient associated with their Lorenz Curve. In this note Gini coefficient for Abdalla and Hassan Lorenz Curve in terms of confluent hyper-geometric series function is represented. Using a property of the hyper geometric function, a recurrent relation of Gini coefficient and Hassan Lorenz Curve has been derived.
