Abstract:
The results of viscosity of linters supplied after alkaline cooking as well as of viscosity for bleached pulp for different supplies were found to be statistically at par and differences between values of viscosity of cellulose acetate prepared from different supplies were significant. The results regarding Degree of Polymerization of cellulose acetate flakes were statistically at par. The maximum value of D.P. was obtained for F.R. supply and minimum was noted for H.D. The supply with greater pulp viscosity were found to possess greater D.P. also. The results of dry tenacity of acetate yarn showed significant differences not only for the yarn from different supplies but also in the yarn manufactured of different spinning machines.
