Weed hosts of a root-knot nematode, meloidogyne incognita, at the Bacita Sugarcane Plantation, Nigeria.

Abstract:
Of the 44 weeds collected from Bacita Sugarcane Plantation, 14 weeds viz. , Amaranthus spinosus, Ageratum conyzoides, 1pomoea aquatica, Convolvulus arvensis, Hiptis spicigera, Cyperus rotundus, Euphorbia hirta, Setaria geniculata, Centrosema plumieri, Portulaca oleracea, Talinum triangulare, Solanum nigrum, Nicotiana rustica and Physalis angulata were found hosts of Meloidogyne incognita. Roots of the infected weeds were moderately to heavily galled.
