The performance of a collection of eight exotic varieties viz., `VNIMK-8931"VNIMK-6540"VNIMK-8833', 'Armavirts', 'Armaviretsky-349', 'Peredovic', 'Mayak' and 'H.O.I.', was studied in field trials, during spring and autumn seasons under both irrigated and rainfed conditions. All of these varieties expect 'H.0.1.' were introduced from the Russia, which was of American origin. The data showed that varieties 'Peredovic' and 'VNIMK-8931' gave the highest yield.
