Abstract:
Introduction: Breakfast has been shown to be beneficial for cognitive and academic performance in school children. However, there is a paucity of studies which examine the relationship between breakfast consumption and academic performance. Breakfast has been found to be a top and necessary as contributor to the daily nutrients’ intake. Breakfast has been associated with the best food choices. The healthiest breakfast is a "nutritious" meal rich in complex carbohydrate including fibre, moderate in protein and low in fat, salt and sugar (sucrose). Aims & Objectives: The research aimed to find the impact of Breakfast on Academics Performances in School Going Children. Place and duration of study: Data was gathered using Google Scholar, Medline, Embase, Science Direct and books from studies conducted between 2010 and 2020. Material & Methods: Systematic analysis was conducted with references to the literature. Results: This review showed a strong link of impact of Breakfast on Academics Performances in School Going Children. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the frequency of breakfast consumption is positively correlated with academic performance, physical activity, academic behavior and cognitive skills and attitude in school going children. It is suggested that the academic performance can be improved by highlighting the importance of taking breakfast in schooling going children. Across all the studies, there were a total of 251 associations between physical activity and breakfast consumption.
