Abstract:
This talk focuses on the effects of traumatic experiences on people`s psychological wellbeing as it examines the notions of post-traumatic growth (PTG) and its relationship with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It focuses on the development of PTG theories and the complex interactions between cognitive processing, resilience, and perceived beneficial changes following trauma. The analysis also explores how exposure to nature affects human health, highlighting the healing advantages of nature-based activities in reducing stress and promoting mental well-being. The relevance of comprehending PTG and the possible therapeutic benefits of nature-based interventions for people dealing with traumatic events.
