Abstract:
The growth and CM-cellulase synthesis by Penicillium expansum was studied using 1% Millet husk fine powder (40 mesh) as a carbon source. The effect of other carbon sources such as glucose, soluble starch, maltose and cellulose were also investigated. The maximum production of CM-cellulase was achieved after 96 hours incubation at 30C with optimal pH 8.0.
