Abstract:
Wheat, rice, maize and maize-flour samples were examined for aflatoxin and microbiological contamination. All the wheat and rice samples were free from aflatoxin and moulds capable of producing aflatoxins. Fourteen percent maize and maize-flour samples showed the presence of aflatoxin B1 and B2 and the concentration ranged from 133-800 ug/kg.
