Abstract:

The N.M.R. spectra of the following compounds were investigated to ascertain the utility of this technique in assigning the 0-acetyl and N-acetyl structures to such derivatives: phenacetin; 3 alpha 12 beta-acetoxypregnane-20-one; 2-benzyl- 1,3,5-tri-O-acetyl-4-nitro-beta -D-fructopyranoside; 1,3,5-tri-O acetyl-2,4,6-tri-N- acetyl aminocy clohexane; and two isomers of tetra-O-acetyl-di-N-acetylaminocyolohexane.
