Abstract:
The ultrasound therapy has sound physiological and biophysical basis for its application. It seems to reduce the specific effects because it causes a selective rise in temperature in areas difficult to heat with other types of diathermy. It is possible that the specificity of the therapeutic action is based on non-thermal reactions.
