Abstract:
The run-off percentage appears higher for the storm in January as compared with February because the intensity of rain-fall in January was much higher than in February as recorded at Taragarh and Rawalpindi rain guage stations. During February there were showers or light rain for consecutive eight days and during May the percentage was very low as light rain was recorded for 3 days after a hot and dry season. The run off percentage was extremely high in August and September as very high intensity of rain was recorded at Barikangran, Chirah and Rawalpindi. The storms were recorded during monsoon period when there is continuous rain at short repeated intervals.
