Adsorption of triethanolamine from binary solution on y-AL203.

Abstract:
The excess adsorption isotherms of triethanolamine from binary solutions of triethanolamine in ethanol and water were studied on y-A1203 surfaces in the temperature range 293-313 K. The adsorption data was analyzed in terms of both the Everett and Langmuir equations. The observed values of AH° showed the endothermic nature of adsorption and the existence of a hydrogen bond between the adsorbent and amine molecule.
