Abstract:
No significant difference in wheat yield with and without berseem in the various treatments was noted. Similarly there was no significant difference in wheat yield between different spacings except beyond 30". There was also no effect on the maize yield grown after berseem. It is concluded that berseem can be grown in 24-30' rows of wheat to get an overall maximum production per unit area where water supply is enough.
