Abstract:
The efficacy of astemizole in cases of Allergic Rhinitis is evaluated and is compared with the role of conventional antihistamine, Chlorpheniramine maleate. This study also includes the use of astemizole along with Disodium chromoglycate and steroid nasal drops. The results shows that astemizole, when used along with steroid nasal drops, control the signs and symptoms of allergic rhinitis to a far greater extent than any known combinations. There were no undue side effects.
