Abstract:

The single electron detachment cross section (0 0 ) from negative ions of F-, Cl- and I- were measured in He and Ne targets in 10 KeV to 125 KeV energy range. The initial growth method with single collision condition was used to calculate the cross sections. The cross sections were found to depend on the projectiles atomic mass but mass independent of the targets.
