Abstract:
The marvel innovation in free space optics (FSO) based wireless communication, medical sensors and mobile network technologies have associated with emerging biological fields of telemedicine and bioinformatics. These new propelling fields of correlated research focus on better Healthcare delivery networks and new disease management systems. The novel development in optical based wireless technology has opened up a latest window for life-saving telemedicine based services. In this study a low-cost FSO based wireless telemonitoring system has been introduced. This paper mainly focuses the viable connectivity between FSO and RF networks. Also, it addresses the interoperability issues and demonstrates a practical feasibility of QoS assurance with FSO based wireless.
