Abstract:
A new tetracyclic triterpenoid has been isolated from the fresh latex of Euphorbia tirucalli and provisionally named as euphorbinol. The chemical and spectral evidence provided its structure as 13 a, 14 0, 17a -lanost-8, 25-diene-3 1:1-ol, 24 methyl.
