Abstract:
The distributed nature of the enterprise information system, across different applications, often results in breakup and misalignments of the perceptions and representations of the business objects and processes. This work frames the problem as a lack of a tool that allow a common vision of data and processes. It describes the tool as a web based application that allows actors to register the implementations of their business objects and processes. Once registered, these implementations become visible to all registered actors. The application is specialized into two components: business objects-oriented and business processes-oriented services. This solution is required to locate data and processes with their implementation in order to be further shared or reused. Described here is an implementation where the tool is located in a web server to be used through internet/intranet/extranet by actors of the information system to exchange, share and reengineer knowledge related to business objects and processes completely transparently.
