Abstract:

The development of thyroid carcinomas due to irradiation, thyroid-stimulating hormone and antithyroid drugs has been reviewed. The coexistence of thyroid cancer has been either suggested or recognized in chronic thyroiditis, hyperthyroidism and pheochromocytoma. The incidence of cancer in various goiters and modulations has been discussed.
