Taxometric assessment of organisms in ichthyoparasitology of an Indian sub-humid region. ii. - Cestodes. Senga rostellata n.sp.

Abstract:
A new species. of genus Senga has been described on characteristics of armed rostellum with 25-29 rostellar hooks in two semicircles 28-32 testis besides other characters of taxonometric significant that have been substantiated by the application of Polythetic Divisive Classificatory system (Malhotra, Dixit and Capoor, 1981) from the closer species viz. S. gangesii (Gairola and Malhotra), S. godavarii (Shinde and Jadhav), S. indicus (n. comb.), S. nayari (Malhotra, 1988), S. pycnomera, S. teleostei (Banerjee, Chaubey and Malhotra), and S. vishakhapatnamensis (Ramadevi and Rao).
