Abstract:
Embedded systems are widely employed in portable devices. These are effective in operation of computing data with low power consumption. The main objective of the present work was to develop a touch screen controller interfaced with the ARM processor using wireless technology, so that a required graphical display can be accessed on the GLCD (Graphical Liquid Crystal Display) by touching the screen. In this project a novel ARM kit interfaced with GLCD is designed, which displays the predefined images with respect to the touched code on the screen at the transmitter. The touch screen is connected to the controller, which has to be programmed to read the touch values in the real time environment. This touch data is then encoded and sent through the RF transmitter. At the other end the RF receiver will be decoded and the same is then sent to the ARM processor which is connected to the graphical LCD. The ARM stores some predefined images, upon the touch data received by the ARM, the assigned image will be displayed on the graphical LCD. Altogether, in the present project it is demonstrated that the images can be displayed at a short distances using wireless technology through ARM processor.
