Abstract:
Three cestodes including two new species are described from the fishes Myrmillo manazo (Blkr) and Narcine timlei(B1.Schn). Two cestodes Tentacularia sp. and Otobothrium karachiensis sp. n. are from Myrmillo manazo and one cestode Acanthobothrium timlei sp. n. from Narcine timlei are reported and figured. Tentacularia sp. is characterized by structures such as two bothria, long tentacles armed with solid hooks, of uniform shape and size, short tentacular bulbs, acraspidate mature proglottids almost equal in length and width, testes numerous preovarian, spherical cirrus sac, ventromarginal and irregularly alternated genital pore. Otobothrium karachiensis is differentiated from previously described species of the genus due to differences in the size of scolex, size of hooks, shape of bothridia and tentacular bulbs, position of testes and presence of neck and a new beet and locality record. Acanthobothrium timlei is characterized by possessing large hooks, 40-41 testes arranged in two rows in each proglottid, bilobed ovary and lateral arrangement of vitellaria.
