A novel model for quality evaluation of e-commerce websites

Abstract:
E-commerce is an emerging trend of this era and the future of business community of 21st century. The successful companies have realized that key success determinants are not only the presence on web or low prices of products but delivering on a high quality website is also necessary. There exists a general scarcity of models for evaluation and quality management of ecommerce websites. This study proposes a novel quality model for evaluating the quality of ecommerce websites. The proposed model comprises of both customer and business perspective of e-commerce. Quantitative mode using survey questionnaire has been adopted to collect the data from the targeted community. The collected data collected has been then analyzed using MS-Excel and SPSS. The Hierarchical treerelationship proposed in this study would be a significant addition to the field of electronic commerce and will lead towards the development of better websites and more economic growth of country. The top down approach of this model will allow drilling down and pinpointing the weak attributes thus leading to quality diagnosis and improvement.
