Abstract:
Vegetation from 29 sites in between 360-1800 m altitude in Indus Valley Scarp Slope was sampled. Soils were physically and chemically analyzed. Soil texture, nitrogen and calcium were significantly associated with the vegetation variation along an attitudinal gradient. Plant diversities with respect to rainfall and associated environmental features in these open stony soils are discussed.
